Ford 98 Distributors
Ford no longer offers a distributor for the Ford 98 industrial engine, also called the Ford KSG416 engine. This four cylinder Ford industrial engine is widely used in Bobcat Model 632, 642, 722 732 and 742 skid steer loaders, Gehl Model 4500, 4510 and 4515 skid steers, Tenant floor sweepers and other applications. To support our customers, Foley now offers new solid state distributors for these Ford 98 engines. No muss, no fuss, 100% solid state.
Ford 172 and Ford 192 Distributors
As we noted in Tech Tip #117, Ford no longer offers a distributor for the Ford 172 and Ford 192 engines. These Ford Industrials are also known as the Ford RSG-428 and RSG-431 engines with block casting numbers including CONN 6015J and B9NN 6015B. This four cylinder Ford industrial engine is widely used in Hyster forklifts and other industrial applications. In Tech Tip #117 we introduced a new point-style distributor for the Ford 172 and Ford 192 engine that we were having made by a European firm. Knowing what a pain it is to service point-style distributors, we will soon be offering a US made, solid state distributor for the Ford 172 and Ford 192 engines.
